A space measuring 300 square metres in the centre of the Brera district, a quarter symbolic of Milanese design, became the ideal location for MMF-2015’s successful social experiment. After the positive response to the flat on Via Tortona in 2010, the company decided to recreate a setting entirely furnished by MMF-2015: a place open to visitors, where employees and tenants really lived, and that would show how MMF-2015 furnishings adapt to all spaces and needs.
The flat is divided into two areas. First, the Living Area, which was designed to have a strong home-like feeling. The star of the kitchen is the large Air MadeTerraneo table, with hand-decorated tiles that reflect the light that enters in the morning from the large window with a view of the Unicredit tower. The Community Table can seat up to 26 people, creating a convivial, warm atmosphere. In the bedroom, an Air double bed with a Wildwood headboard fills the space while at the same time making it light and airy. The bed is reflected in the large white-glass N.O.W. wardrobe, which covers the whole wall. In the bathroom, a Depth washbasin plays with the contrast between the transparency of glass and the substantiality of wood.
In the Kids & Young children’s room, a space dedicated to imagination and play, little ones can give free reign to their creativity. The children’s room is also furnished with a LagoLinea bed that hides a second bed for unexpected guests. In the adjacent bathroom, the walls are covered with a mosaic in dark hues that detaches like a sheet from the wall to create a light, elegant Skin washbasin.
A short corridor leads to the Social Area, which pulses with the flow of life. A design-led, convivial space that looks out onto bustling Via Brera, it is perfect for aperitifs and evening gatherings. The kitchen is dominated by the iconic 36e8 module, which has been used to create a practical space made for socialising. The star of the kitchen, the cook, prepares meals while surrounded by his guests, thanks to the shape of the kitchen which lets you see the hob from two sides. The living room is dominated by an Air sofa, which invites relaxation during Happy Hour.
