Located in the heart of the Turin shopping promenade, Lagrange12 is a residence with the timeless style for which Turin is beloved all the world over. The transformation, by the Building group, involved the reconversion of a historical 17th-century building between Via Lagrange and Via Giolitti. Through this project, Building gave the city a new renovated historical building, creating a balance between old architectural forms, cutting-edge home automation and innovative comfort.
We are proud to have been a part of this reconversion of historical residential heritage, designing the interiors of the two penthouses, which have panoramic views looking out over the city centre.
The two flats, which are in the MMF-2015 REAL ESTATE category of our Network, were designed based on a combination of the MMF-2015 design chromosomes: modularity, vitality, contrast, lightness and timeless design.
From the penthouse entry, you enter directly into a spacious open space area where the sky floods in from large windows, creating the sensation of being suspended above the city below, one of Italy’s most magical. Turning your attention to the interior, the eye is immediately drawn to the large Slide sofa, which is set into the space to maximise its main characteristic: modularity. The Slide, presented here in our new sartorial fabric, can be reconfigured on the fly, according to need, whether simple relaxation or an evening with friends. A Weightless bookcase comes down from the ceiling in a dialogue with the 36e8 sideboard, using lightness to separate the dining area from the rest of the space. The living area and kitchen are united by the spacious, light Air table, which floats in the space inviting conviviality, suspended over the Turin skyline.
The design as a whole, carefully planned down to the smallest details, gives the space a timeless style in harmony with the project by Building, updating a building that watches over a far-off past.
