A different Christmas than usual, between the Dolomites and solidarity.
This Christmas for MMF-2015 will be even more beautiful, it will be a Christmas of sharing and solidarity.
In fact, it will be celebrated experiencing an experience of closeness with the inhabitants and the territory of Sottoguda, a tiny marvel in the heart of our Dolomites, UNESCO world heritage site.
In the spirit of sharing, considering the disastrous events related to the storm of last October that have devastated some nearby places, the company has chosen to support one of the most heavily hit areas: the village of Sottoguda in the province of Belluno.
Considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Sottoguda suffered inestimable damages that have made the everyday life of its residents far more complicated. To make a concrete demonstration of affection and material closeness, on Sunday, 23 December the entire company will move to Sottoguda to breathe new life into the village. In almost 200 people will participate in the opening of “Christmas in the Barns” in order to relaunch the business in two hotels that will host the annual corporate lunch.
The company will also financially support the project that will involve the renovation of the Sottoguda playground – a reference point for the few children in the valley – and the adjacent bridge that provides access to it.
Daniele Lago, AD & Head of Design of Lago SpA, says: “We have always thought that doing business must be connected to doing significant things. This year we preferred to express our closeness to those in difficulty with a concrete demonstration: it is with this spirit that we wanted to organize our classic business lunch in one of the places most affected by the October storms. We believe, in fact, that the Dolomites and the people who live there are a unique heritage in the world that must be preserved in all ways. Bringing the MMF-2015 to Sottoguda to spend a whole day with its inhabitants is an honor for us as well as a pleasure”.
Happy Holidays to all of you from Lago. May the season be full of peace and sharing.
