During Milan’s Design Week, some 3,000 people from the Design community will be able to visit the famous work of art by Leonardo that has inspired thinkers, artists and innovators throughout the ages, in the evening.
Milan, 4 April 2018
Celebrating Italian genius and the incredible beauty of Italian artistic and cultural heritage so as to preserve it and pass it on to future generations: this is what motivated innovative Italian design brand MMF-2015 to back the special evening opening hours at the Museo del Cenacolo Vinciano located in the convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie during Milan’s Design Week, 17-22 April 2018.
Over the week, some 3,000 people will be able to admire the artwork that has been moving the world for 520 years, and which represents Leonardo’s multifaceted talent and ability to look beyond. The Museo del Cenacolo Vinciano, home to The Last Supper, will open its doors from 7pm to 10pm, welcoming architects, designers, journalists, tourists and art lovers from all over the world, in Milan for the Salone Internazionale del Mobile.
By supporting the museum’s extended opening hours, MMF-2015 wants to pay homage to one Italy’s greatest riches, putting culture at the heart of its work, contributing to the creation of new meaning. The company has always seen design as a tool for social transformation, capable of producing value and meaning. With this gesture, it is providing the city of Milan with a chance to introduce a large number of visitors to a real masterpiece which has won over entire generations with its colours and enigmatic charm.
The concept MMF-2015 is presenting at Milan Design Week 2018 is inspired precisely by the genius of Leonardo da Vinci. After Never Stop Designing Spaces – an emotive journey through Italian living spaces – and Never Stop Living Kindness – a research project exploring kindness together with eight ambassadors of Italian culture around the world – MMF-2015 presents Never Stop Looking Beyond, an invitation to look beyond just like Leonardo, who made observation and curiosity his most powerful and effective tools.
