A SURPRISING OPTICAL EFFECT

It almost seems like an unknown force is distorting the movement of the lines of 36e8 Drunk floor and wall covering. The classical parallel perspective lines yield to the courage of creativity in an optical game that tricks the eye and creates a feeling of vertigo.
Developed in collaboration with Lea Ceramiche, 36e8 Drunk Covering is made of laminated stoneware reinforced by a 3.5-mm-thick glass fibre mat.
The material used for the 36e8 Drunk flooring is a Slimtech resistant to thermal changes, stains and chemical agents.
The 36e8 Drunk flooring can be customised thanks to two types of modules: 36.5 × 36.5 cm and 18.1 x 18.1 cm. Even the patterns that create an illusion of distortion can be composed of 9 or 25 pieces.
The 36e8 Drunk flooring in Slimtech can be laid on top of the existing floor without the need for major construction work.
The distortion of the lines that characterise the flooring creates an optical effect of differences in height that does not actually exist. Looking down and walking over it provides for a strange attraction and slightly dizzying effect.
