In the heart of Florence, overlooking the splendid Basilica of Santa Croce, this charming, modern B&B welcomes you with a light-filled, elegant atmosphere, in which the city’s strong artistic and cultural roots and the contemporary design of MMF-2015 furniture intertwine.
The goal of Lago Point AB Arredamenti Bianchi for the B&B was to create a contemporary, design-driven apartment where attention is lavished on even the smallest details and tradition and modernity harmoniously co-exist. The interiors of the B&B, the second MMF-2015 Network location in Florence, create a warm, intimate atmosphere in a historical Florentine building, distinguished by the contrast between different materials and pale and vibrant colours that enhance the space.
Entering the living area, where the geometric shapes of the windows and the nineteenth-century Neo-Gothic facade of the basilica reflect on the surfaces, the eye is caught by a suspended Air sofa in a play of white and aubergine, a colour scheme that pays homage to the city and is found throughout the flat. An elegant Wildwood oak table gives the living area a feeling of lightness, thanks to its extra-clear tempered glass legs. The pale colours of the walls, which host a Lagolinea shelf that frames a historical Dante quotation, are broken up by a central volume in ochre yellow that separates the living area from the kitchen.
Suspension and lightness also characterise the bedrooms, where the suspended Fluttua bed creates a magical, relaxing atmosphere. The two bedrooms feature practical N.O.W. wardrobes that repeat the typically Florentine colour combination of white and aubergine.
